Cyclone Solutions

Cyclones are used to separate fines and product flow from an air stream where product drops down to a hopper cone and passes through an air lock, rotary valve or collected in a container.

 

BFM® fitting connectors are used at the outlet of cyclones which most often operate under a slight negative pressure to provide a durable airtight seal which is critical for cyclone performance. A leaky connector can have an impact on productivity as air drawn in from the outside can interrupt product flow as well create a contamination risk.

 

The snap-in cuff of the BFM® fitting system keeps the connector ends locked in place making it ideal for use under negative pressure applications which can be further enhanced with support ring and tool release options.

 

The added advantage of the simple snap-in installation means BFM® fitting connectors are also fast and easy to remove and replace to provide convenient access for clearing blockages in upset conditions as well as cleaning.
